Storm Hanna Expected in PAR Next Week

A tropical storm with international name "Soudelor," is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), sometime next week.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the storm will be known locally as "Hanna," once it enters PAR. It is not expected to make landfall but is predicted to enhance the southwest monsoon or "habagat." It can also possibly intensify into a severe tropical storm, but may slightly slow down when it gets closer to PAR.
